Where the sidewalk ends:

This photo project was developed over a span of two months where I explore where infrastructure and human impact meets the wilderness or nature in western New York. driving, walking, quietly observing, I photographed these scenes on medium format film with the goal of being as present as possible and reflecting my personal experience with this interaction and it’s prevalence in western New York. from scenes completely devoid of nature to overwhelming fields of cultivated green this project encapsulates a slow observational approach to the hinterlands of western New York.
